The mounted officers of the NRPS appear at parades and functions all over the Niagara Region. They can often be seen with friends, or out on the streets training. Here are a few photos of our Mounted Officers in action!

Did You Take Our Picture?!
If you took a picture of our mounted officers at an event, we'd love to see it! You can send it to us and we'll post it in this photo album! Just send your picture to photos@fnmp.org and be sure to include your name and where you are from! (If you like, you can include comments about our mounted officers in your email, and we'll include those, too.)

On Parade
The NRPS Mounted Officers first appeared in public at the Blossum Parade in Niagara Falls on May 10, 2003. They have since attended dozens of parades.

With Friends
Whether it be with members of the public, FNMP volunteers, or other police officers, the mounted officers are always surrounded by friends!

Training
The mounted officers and their horses must continually train to keep their skills up. Training never stops, and starts the moment the officers greet their horses.

Educating Others
The mounted officers attend schools, summer camps, and other educational institutions in a community policing and educational role.
